Asha really did love Ruben, they were together for a good while in seiki standards. Unfortunately this scene takes place a few weeks before it all falls apart.

Concept art for Asha’s two close friends, Louis and Pheobe. They stuck around with her throughout most of her journey, and stood up for her when the whole fiasco with Ruben happened. Eventually Asha started alienating herself from them as her mental health deteriorated.
